Pork Chop’s BBQ Opening Second N.J. Location at Capitol Plaza in Ewing

Portuguese-Inspired Concept Leases 2,700 SF at Levin-Managed Center

EWING TWP., N.J., Oct. 17, 2018 – Pork Chop's BBQ has leased 2,700 square feet at Capitol Plaza in Ewing Twp. The new location represents the second New Jersey restaurant for the Portuguese-inspired barbecue concept, according to commercial real estate services firm Levin Management Corporation (LMC), exclusive leasing and managing agent for 355,000-square-foot, mixed-use property.

“Pork Chop’s BBQ has experienced great success at its original Flemington location, and this restaurant operator felt the timing was right to expand its popular brand,” said LMC Senior Leasing Representative Andrea Kyriacou, who arranged the lease. “Capitol Plaza’s strong demographics and excellent visibility made it an ideal choice.” Located on the heavily traveled North Olden Avenue at the junction of Route 206 (Princeton Avenue), Capitol Plaza serves a residential population of more than 244,200 and a daytime population of 153,000 within a five-mile radius.

“Capitol Plaza also includes 1001 Spruce Office Center – home to Jersey College and other tenants – bringing hundreds of students, employees and visitors to the center each day,” Kyriacou added. “This provides additional upside for tenants and was a key draw for Pork Chop’s BBQ.”

The expansive menu at Pork Chop’s BBQ includes ribs, chicken, beef and seafood dishes, along with appetizers, salads, sandwiches, desserts, daily specials and a children’s menu. Patrons can dine in or take out, with catering available as well. Meats are cooked over the restaurant’s famous charcoal fire pit and include customer favorites like homemade chouriço (Portuguese sausage) and Hawaiian barbecue pork.

Additional Capitol Plaza tenants include Marshalls, Save-A-Lot, Dollar Tree, Planet Fitness, Kicks USA, Harbor Freight Tools, Forman Mills, dd's Discounts, American Furniture, Ashley Stewart, GNC and Foot Locker, among others. Current retail availabilities at the property range from 2,200 to 9,600 square feet.
