Hallmark Store Renews, Expands at Hamilton Plaza in Hamilton, N.J.

Specialty Retailer Commits to 7,100 SF at Levin-Managed Shopping Center

HAMILTON TWP., N.J., Nov. 25, 2019 – The Hallmark store at Hamilton Plaza will relocate and expand at the popular Hamilton Township shopping center. Norman’s Hallmark, the largest independent Hallmark Crown chain in the United States, recently purchased the Hamilton Plaza operation; in its new location, the card and specialty retail shop will occupy 7,100 square feet.

The 175,500-square-foot retail property is exclusively leased and managed by Levin Management Corporation (LMC). LMC Senior Leasing Representative Sidney Singer arranged the Norman’s Hallmark lease renewal – which includes moving within the center to a space 2,700 square feet larger than the original.

“Hallmark has experienced tremendous, sustained success at this location since opening here in 1991,” Singer said. “The store’s expansion will make the shopping experience even more inviting for consumers, while accommodating a larger assortment of merchandise.”

In addition to Hallmark products, Norman’s offers an expansive selection of gift merchandise from major suppliers including Vera Bradley, Yankee Candle, Life is Good, Willow Tree, Jellycat, Mud Pie, Pura Vida and others. The Hamilton Plaza location also will carry a large selection of candy and gourmet food items.

Norman’s Hallmark is a growing, 60-store chain with roots in the local market. “We started in Trenton, and we know this market well,” noted Howard Henschel, Norman’s Hallmark chief executive officer. “We are excited to join the Hamilton Township community and are so pleased to be expanding this location with one of our new, full-line stores.”

Anchored by an 81,000-square-foot ShopRite, Hamilton Plaza has long been a premier local shopping destination and a dominant center in its marketplace. “Hallmark is one of many tenants that have found long-term success at Hamilton Plaza,” Singer said. “This lease renewal underscores the confidence that our local, regional and national retailers have in this property’s ability to draw consumer traffic – and sales.”

Situated at the intersection of heavily traveled Route 33 and Whitehorse-Hamilton Square Road, Hamilton Plaza’s co-tenancy also includes A.C. Moore, Petco, Dollar Tree, T-Mobile, Mattress Firm, Texas Roadhouse, Moe’s Southwest Grill, America’s Best Contacts and Eyeglasses, Hair Cuttery, and Queen Bee Nail Salon. The center serves a residential population of more than 180,000 people within a five-mile radius. More than 47,000 vehicles pass the center each day.

Space availabilities at Hamilton Plaza include in-line units from 2,400 to 4,400 square feet, as well as a 3,100-square-foot proposed pad site.

For nearly seven decades, LMC has served as a trusted single-source commercial real estate services provider for institutional and private owners. The firm today maintains a diversified, retail-focused portfolio of approximately 105 properties totaling 15 million square feet in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, offering leasing, property management, financial management and reporting, construction and development, lease administration, marketing services, and acquisition and disposition consulting services. LMC’s capabilities continue to evolve with new technologies, efficiencies and sustainability-focused initiatives to serve a new generation of properties, investors and tenants.
