Casual Italian Restaurant, Non-Profit Green Initiative Join Retail Offerings at Levin-Managed Shopping Center
BARNEGAT, N.J., July 7, 2014 – Two long-term lease agreements totaling 6,600 square feet brings retail occupancy to 100 percent at Bayshore Plaza in Barnegat. The new tenants include casual Italian restaurant Luigi's Ristorante and Brick Oven Pizza (2,400 SF) and non-profit green initiative Greensleeves Boutique (4,200 SF), according to Levin Management, exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 59,000-square-foot property.
Levin's leasing representative Gloria Mercado negotiated the long-term leases.
Bayshore Plaza's enviable location, combined with the Barnegat area's growth in population and income, were added benefits to both tenants, according to Mercado. "Location plays a pivotal role in the success of any new retail or restaurant venture, and Bayshore Plaza's outstanding Route 9 address was a key factor in attracting these tenants," said Mercado. "Luigi's Ristorante and Greensleeves are excellent matches for the center's existing tenancy, and we expect both ventures to enjoy great success here."
Luigi's Ristorante and Brick Oven Pizza will feature a full menu of specialty gourmet pizza, along with a wide selection of entrees, daily specials, pasta dishes, hot and cold subs, soups, salads, sandwiches and more. Diners can eat in or take out from this affordable B.Y.O.B. establishment, which will be open for lunch and dinner.
"This is not your 'typical' pizzeria," said Luigi Viterbo, who owns the restaurant along with Salvatore Viterbo and Anthony Cologna. "All our food is made to order, and prepared using only the freshest ingredients. We explored many different site options but ultimately chose Bayshore Plaza due to its excellent highway visibility and desirable demographics. We look forward to bringing our innovative menu and genuine hospitality to the local community," he said. An experienced restaurateur, Luigi Viterbo owns four other New Jersey restaurants.
Greensleeves Boutique is a green initiative of Allies Inc., a Hamilton, New Jersey-based non-profit organization. Established in 2010, Greensleeves offers gently worn clothing, vintage and fabulous finds to the public, while providing on-site job training and education to individuals with disabilities. Greensleeves Boutique in Barnegat will feature local artisan designs, and upcycled art and home décor. The store will lend itself to a beach motif, with 100 percent of the proceeds directly benefiting individuals with disabilities. Additional Greensleeves Boutique locations can be found in Somerville, Flemington and Mount Holly.
