Upscale Off-Price Retailer Inks Lease for 11,000 Square Feet at Levin-Managed Center
WATCHUNG, N.J., Oct. 23, 2014 – Tuesday Morning, a leading off-price retailer of upscale home accessories, housewares, seasonal goods and gifts, is set to join the tenant mix at Blue Star Shopping Center in Watchung, N.J. The retailer has leased 11,000 square feet of space at the 419,000-square-foot shopping center, announced Levin Management, the property’s managing and leasing agent.
Levin’s leasing representative Marcia Minton negotiated the long-term lease. Marta Person Villa of CBRE represented the tenant in the transaction.
Blue Star Shopping Center’s prominent Somerset County location, excellent visibility and daily consumer traffic, and strong regional demographics all contribute to its appeal, according to Minton.
“Throughout its history, Blue Star Shopping Center consistently has drawn high-quality tenants and Tuesday Morning is no exception,” she said. “Tuesday Morning rounds out a strong mix of retailers and restaurants, and solidifies Blue Star as a one-stop shopping destination for the entire family. We are excited to be part of Tuesday Morning’s continued New Jersey expansion.”
Tuesday Morning provides a fresh selection of brand name, high-quality merchandise – never seconds or irregulars – at prices well below those of department and specialty stores, catalogues and online retailers. Based in Dallas, Texas, the company opened its first store in 1974 and currently operates nearly 800 stores across the country.
“Tuesday Morning is excited to be opening at Blue Star Shopping Center,” said Susan Davidson, the company’s senior vice-president of marketing. “We look forward to offering customers high-quality name-brand products and gifts for the home through a unique ‘treasure hunt’ shopping experience. Our broad, ever-changing assortment of goods including home furnishings, housewares, luggage, toys, gourmet food, accessories and seasonal items is sure to make Tuesday Morning a favorite shopping destination for customers who appreciate high quality at great values.”
