Affordable Fitness Chain Will Occupy 15,000 Square Feet of Newly Constructed Space at Levin-Managed Shopping Center
CLIFTON, N.J., Oct. 29, 2014 – Blink Fitness is set to open its newest New Jersey location at Clifton Plaza in Clifton. The affordable fitness chain will occupy 15,000 square feet of newly constructed retail space at the 80,000-square-foot shopping center, announced Levin Management, the property’s managing and leasing agent.
“Ever since our first gym opened in 2011, our mission at Blink has been about putting mood above muscle,” said Todd Magazine, Blink’s General Manager. “We strive to provide people with a place to feel good while they work out. Opening our 36th location at Clifton Plaza in partnership with Levin allows us to extend that opportunity to the local community and that makes us feel great about what we do.”
Levin Management negotiated the long-term lease. Peter Levine of Charter Realty & Development Corp. served as tenant broker in the transaction.
“Low-cost fitness chains are expanding rapidly across the country, underscoring the demand among consumers for affordable gym alternatives,” said David Reiner, Levin’s vice-president of leasing. “Blink Fitness is revolutionizing the way people exercise by offering a fast, convenient and cost-effective workout environment. We’re excited to bring this wonderful amenity to Clifton Plaza.”
Blink’s membership office is now open at Clifton Plaza. The public is invited to visit and learn more about Blink’s affordable membership options Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call (973) 855-3254.
A grand opening celebration is scheduled for November 2014. With more than 35 locations now open across the tri-state area and memberships starting as low as $15 per month, Blink’s goal is to create healthier communities by giving everyone the opportunity to incorporate fitness into their daily routine. Blink gyms are clean and modern with top-of-the-line cardiovascular and strength-training machines, easy-to-use workout menus and a friendly, welcoming staff.
Co-anchored by a 24,000-square-foot Big Lots and 14,000-square-foot Dollar Tree, Clifton Plaza’s exceptional lineup of national and regional tenants includes GameStop, Radio Shack, Angel Tip Nails & Spa, Bruno’s Pizza, Sally Beauty Supply and Valley National Bank. Dunkin’ Donuts also is scheduled to open in the coming weeks at Clifton Plaza.
Conveniently located on Route 46/Van Houten Avenue, Clifton Plaza serves a growing residential population of more than 619,000 people within a five-mile radius. The marketplace offers an average household income of more than $79,800 and the daily traffic count exceeds 73,000 vehicles.
