Levin Management Adds Two More New Jersey Retail Property Assignments

Expanded Role in Whiting, New Involvement in Fords Mark Progress

WHITING and WOODBRIDGE, N.J., Sept. 1, 2015 – North Plainfield, N.J.-based retail real estate services firm Levin Management, has been named exclusive leasing agent for two New Jersey properties: Whiting Town Center in Whiting Township and Fords Shopping Center in the Fords section of Woodbridge Township.

Earlier this year Levin was retained by Whiting Town Center’s new ownership to continue its role as managing agent for the 118,000-square-foot, grocery-anchored property. Levin’s involvement with the Ocean County property dates as far back as 2002. Located off Route 530 at the intersection of Lacey Road and Cherry Street, the shopping center offers a mix of retail, restaurant and service tenants.

“The Whiting Town Center leasing assignment underscores the ownership’s satisfaction and trust in our company, and is a prime example of how existing clients benefit from our full range of capabilities,” said Matthew K. Harding, president of Levin Management. “Whiting Town Center is an exciting addition to our leasing portfolio and reinforces Levin’s continued growth in the Northeast’s retail marketplace. Our goal is to build value for this property while attracting top-tier tenants."

Levin Leasing Representative Gloria Mercado is heading up the assignment.

Levin also was selected as exclusive leasing agent for Fords Shopping Center, a 67,000-square-foot retail center located on Route 1. Anchored by Favorites – the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority’s Off-Track Wagering Facility, which is home to McLoone’s Woodbridge Grille – the Middlesex County property features a mix of restaurant and service tenants.

“Located within Woodbridge Township, Fords Shopping Center is ideally situated off Exit 130 of the Garden State Parkway just minutes away from Menlo Park Mall,” said Harding. “Levin’s goal is to bring the center to 100 percent occupancy by leasing the only remaining space of 6,800 square feet.”

These new assignments round out a busy business development period for Levin Management. This year, the firm has also added properties in Hackensack and Bordentown, N.J.; and Cheltenham, Pa.

Levin Management is one of the nation’s leading retail real estate services firms, with a strong focus in the northeastern United States and an owner’s approach to the business. The firm offers a full range of services for a diverse portfolio that encompasses approximately 95 properties and more than 13 million square feet, including leasing, property management, accounting, construction management and marketing. Levin serves properties ranging from neighborhood, community, lifestyle and power centers, to enclosed malls, street retail, downtown stores and mixed-use projects in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Virginia and North Carolina.
