Off-Price Retailer Marks First Foray into Long Island at Levin-Managed Center
COMMACK, N.Y., Oct. 12, 2015 – National apparel and home decor retailer Stein Mart recently celebrated the opening of its first Long Island store at Mayfair Shopping Center in Commack. Stein Mart occupies 30,800 square feet at the 221,000-square-foot shopping center, which is exclusively leased and managed by North Plainfield, N.J.-based Levin Management.
“This Stein Mart store represents the chain’s initial entry into Long Island, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them to Mayfair Shopping Center,” said David Reiner, vice president of leasing. “Stein Mart is rapidly expanding its nationwide presence, and the center’s locale and co-tenancy were a perfect fit for the brand’s target customer. Stein Mart stores offer the fashion merchandise, service and presentation of a better department or specialty store, at prices competitive with off-price retail chains. The marketplace offers an average household income of more than $124,000, and the daily traffic count exceeds 29,500 vehicles.
Anchored by a 60,000-square-foot Waldbaum's supermarket, the center’s impressive lineup of national and regional tenants includes Rite Aid, MJM Designer Shoes, Gap/Gap Kids, Ann Taylor Loft, New York & Company, Joseph A.
