A Sip of Art Now Open at West Orange Plaza

Upscale Paint and Sip Art Studio Occupies 1,800 SF at Levin-Managed Center

WEST ORANGE, N.J., Mar. 18, 2016 – A Sip of Art – an upscale “paint and sip” art lounge with a philanthropic twist – recently celebrated the opening of its new 1,800-square-foot studio at West Orange Plaza in West Orange. A grand opening celebration is planned for April 1 and 2. The public is invited to sign up for a grand opening class on the website ASipofArt.com.

The paint and sip model, though relatively new, is capitalizing on increased consumer demand for fun and affordable activities that friends, family and co-workers can enjoy together. The bright and beautifully decorated A Sip of Art studio offers a variety of art classes each month for adults and children, as well as private parties, corporate events and fundraisers. During adult BYOB classes, participants bring their own wine and snacks, and A Sip of Art supplies bottle openers, wine glasses, utensils and ice. No previous painting experience is necessary.

Participants are guided step-by-step through creating their own unique masterpiece, according to Efe Cierkowski, the studio’s owner. “A Sip of Art is excited to open our doors at West Orange Plaza,” she said. “We were attracted to the center’s central Essex County location, and proximity to a large residential population as well as numerous businesses and corporations. A Sip of Art is a place where folks of all ages can come together, unwind and express their creativity. We look forward to providing a fun and relaxing studio for all our customers.”

Every activity at A Sip of Art also represents an opportunity to give back to the community. A portion of proceeds from each class or event will be donated to a local charity or cause. “A monthly percentage of our profits will go toward a rolling list of charitable organizations, including St. Barnabas Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pink for Africa, among others,” said Cierkowski.

The 284,000-square-foot West Orange Plaza is exclusively leased and managed by North Plainfield-based Levin Management. Well located at the intersection of heavily traveled Eagle Rock and Prospect avenues near I-280, the Essex County property is among the area’s most dominant retail shopping destinations. It is anchored by Kmart and Whole Foods, and features a range of national and regional tenants including Staples, Dollar Tree, Retro Fitness, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Jersey Mike’s Subs. The center serves a full-time population of more than 510,000 people within a five-mile radius. The area boasts a median household income of more than $60,000 and a daily traffic count of more than 63,500 vehicles.
