Kendal Hand Joins Levin Management Corporation as Leasing Representative

NORTH PLAINFIELD, N.J., Aug. 27, 2019 – Kendal Hand of Howell, N.J., has joined commercial real estate services firm Levin Management Corporation (LMC) as a leasing representative. She brings a strong track record in leasing open air shopping centers to her new position.

Hand’s responsibilities include leasing and marketing efforts at several properties within LMC’s New Jersey retail portfolio. This includes Chatham Plaza in Chatham, Eatontown Plaza in Eatontown, Bayshore Plaza in Barnegat, Oak Tree Center in Edison and Hartford Corners in Delran.

“Levin is a well-recognized, established firm known for its quality of service and professionalism,” said Hand. “Its impressive portfolio and team longevity were very attractive to me. I look forward to growing my career here, and for the opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge working alongside Stephanie Harris, vice president of leasing, and LMC’s many accomplished industry professionals.”

A relative industry newcomer with three years of post-college experience, Hand previously served as a leasing representative for DLC Management Corp. There she exclusively leased five open-air shopping centers totaling almost 900,000 square feet. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in real estate from Monmouth University, and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

“Kendal brings great enthusiasm and a strong work ethic, along with direct and proven commercial real estate experience,” Harris said. “Her deep knowledge of the tri-state area retail marketplace is a real advantage as we continue to expand our leasing portfolio.”

LMC has a long history of supporting “home grown” career development, noted Matthew Harding, chief executive officer, who himself joined the firm a junior leasing agent more than three decades ago. “Simply put, we look for people who are seeking a company where they can establish roots and stay – whether they are seasoned industry veterans or rising professionals. That common theme begins with our three senior executives, who have a combined 119 years of involvement here. The size of this company enables motivated employees to spread their wings.”

For nearly seven decades, LMC has served as a trusted single-source commercial real estate services provider for institutional and private owners. The firm helps its clients evaluate options, operate properties and create case-specific solutions to protect and improve asset value; it has distinguished itself as a firm large enough to excel in assignments of any scale while continuing to employ a hands-on, proprietary approach in every facet of its business.

LMC today maintains a diversified, retail-focused portfolio of 105 properties totaling approximately 15 million square feet in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, offering leasing, property management, financial management and reporting, construction and development, lease administration, marketing services, and acquisition and disposition consulting services. The company specializes in repositioning, retenanting and renovating real estate – areas that have become particularly vital in an increasingly competitive market. LMC’s capabilities continue to evolve with new technologies, efficiencies and sustainability-focused initiatives to serve a new generation of properties, investors and tenants.
