Levin Arranges Lease with McDonald’s in Middlesex, N.J.

New, 3,500-SF Fast Food Restaurant Now Open, Featuring High-Tech Experience

MIDDLESEX, N.J., Sept. 21, 2017 – A newly constructed, 3,500-square-foot McDonald’s restaurant has opened its doors at 125 Bound Brook Road in Middlesex. Commercial real estate services firm Levin Management Corporation (LMC), as exclusive leasing and managing agent, negotiated the lease on behalf of the property’s owner.

The well-located retail site also is home to a 26,000-square-foot ACME Supermarket. “From a standpoint of demographics, this location is a great place to do business,” said Matthew K. Harding, LMC’s president. “The population within three miles is more than 93,000 people, and the property is located on the corner of Warrenville Road and Route 28 – two of the borough’s main thoroughfares.”

Customers at the new McDonald’s location are enjoying a restaurant experience of the future, according to Owner/Operator Anthony Scari. Along with traditional counter service, the restaurant features kiosks where customers can customize, order and pay for their food.

“Patrons place orders – either at the counter or kiosk – and servers bring their purchases directly to their tables,” he said, noting that staff members are on hand to offer assistance. “As a chain, McDonald’s is evolving. Everything at this new location is state-of-the-art, and I am excited to bring this unique dining experience to our customers.” The restaurant’s dining area also features an interactive “sparkle table” to keep youngsters entertained and digitalized menu boards at the drive-though.

The transaction is among several new restaurant signings by LMC. To date in 2017, the firm has inked leases with Irish restaurant and pub James Joyce (4,200 SF) at 35-71 South Ocean Ave. in Patchogue, N.Y.; Asian hot pot restaurant Morals Village Hot Pot (4,000 SF) at Rutgers Plaza in Franklin Township, N.J.; Cheeburger Cheeburger (3,400 SF) and Bubbakoo’s Burritos (1,900 SF) at Aldrich Plaza in Howell, N.J.; and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen (2,000 SF) at Twin City Shopping Center in Jersey City, N.J.

For 65 years, LMC has served as a trusted single-source commercial real estate services provider for institutional and private owners. LMC today maintains a diversified, retail-focused portfolio of approximately 100 properties totaling 14 million square feet in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, offering leasing, property management, financial management and reporting, construction and development, lease administration, marketing services, and acquisition and disposition consulting services. LMC’s services continue to evolve with new technologies, efficiencies and sustainability-focused initiatives to serve a new generation of properties, investors and tenants.
