Bubbakoo’s Burritos Set to Open at Aldrich Plaza in Howell, N.J.

Fast-Casual Restaurant Chain Will Occupy 1,900 Sq. Ft. at Levin-Managed Center

HOWELL, N.J., March 16, 2017 – Bubbakoo's Burritos, a made-to-order burrito chain that got its start in Point Pleasant Beach, N.J., in 2008, will continue its Jersey Shore expansion with a new 1,900-square-foot restaurant at Aldrich Plaza in Howell. Levin Management Corporation (LMC) of North Plainfield, N.J., exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 99,000-square-foot property, orchestrated the long-term transaction. Mark Handwerker of The Goldstein Group represented the tenant.

“We were able to provide Bubbakoo’s Burritos with a location that offers exceptional visibility, signage and presence,” said Kyle Farley, LMC’s leasing representative for Aldrich Plaza. “Aldrich Plaza’s complementary mix of stores, restaurants and service providers makes it an attractive location for any retail tenant. Pair this with a convenient Monmouth County address and outstanding demographics, and the center has all the necessary elements to make this growing chain’s newest location a success.”

Bubbakoo’s Burritos offers healthier, fast-casual fare such as burritos, bowls, tacos, salads, nachos and quesadillas, and more than one dozen different protein options including buffalo crispy chicken, barbecue pork, sweet chili shrimp and grilled steak. Menu items include side dishes such as jalapeno poppers, rice and beans, and southwest egg rolls; a kids’ menu; student meals; and a range of desserts.

Well located directly on heavily traveled Route 9, Aldrich Plaza serves a growing residential population of more than 134,600 people within a five-mile radius. The marketplace offers an average household income of $87,200 and the daily traffic count on Route 9 exceeds 47,700 vehicles. The center’s lineup of national and regional tenants includes Bed, Bath & Beyond, Retro Fitness, Subway, GNC, AT&T, Boston Market, Hallmark, RE/MAX real estate and Kessler Rehabilitation Center. A host of neighborhood conveniences such as a dentist, a pizzeria, an optician, a liquor store, dance and karate studio, and a dry cleaner, among others, round out the mix.

Retail availabilities at Aldrich Plaza include two inline spaces (3,600 square feet and 7,800 square feet) and a 10,000-square-foot proposed pad site.
