Levin Announces Three New Leases at Centre Plaza in Bensalem, Pa.

Dance School, Barbershop and New Restaurant Operator Commitments Combine for 5,100 SF

BENSALEM, Pa., Nov. 11, 2020 – Levin Management Corporation (LMC) has announced a flurry of fall lease commitments totaling 5,100 square feet at Centre Plaza in Bensalem. New tenants include dance studio Kathy’s School of Dance and barbershop MichKutz; LMC also arranged a lease with A.J.'s Cheesesteaks, formerly Philly It Cheesesteaks – a long-time Centre Plaza tenant that has been rebranded under new ownership.

LMC Vice President of Leasing Sidney Singer and Leasing Representative Fred Younkin negotiated the three leases – each 1,700 square feet – on behalf of the property ownership. Connery Koski of Century 21 Advantage Gold served as tenant broker for MichKutz.

A leader in dance education, Kathy’s School of Dance offers classes for students ages 2 to 18 in ballet, tap and jazz. The business has been in operation for more than 30 years; it will relocate to Centre Plaza from Philadelphia. MichKutz is a new business venture for its owner, a local barber with more than 10 years of experience.

“Located in Bucks County’s largest municipality, Centre Plaza is ideally positioned as a service-oriented neighborhood shopping center,” said Younkin. “Kathy’s School of Dance and MichKutz fit very well into our tenant mix. Both will generate significant traffic to the property by providing in-demand services for the Bensalem-area community.”

Along with its signature cheesesteaks, A.J.’s Cheesesteaks offers hot and cold hoagies, wraps, sandwiches and salads, sides, wings, fresh cut fries and milkshakes. “Centre Plaza shoppers have long appreciated the presence of Philly It, and they can still grab a cheesesteak – and more – at this re-branded shop,” Singer added. “We are pleased to establish a positive relationship with the restaurant’s new ownership and look forward to working together for years to come.”

Centre Plaza also includes Penn Community Bank, A&S Bagels, Salon 724, M. Rani Eyebrow Threading & Spa, Team Sports Zone, Tako Japanese Restaurant and LabCorp, among others. The 44,000-square-foot property serves a residential population of nearly 265,000 people within a five-mile radius.

LMC currently is marketing space availabilities up to 6,800 square feet at Centre Plaza.

For nearly seven decades, North Plainfield, N.J.-based LMC has served as a trusted single-source commercial real estate services provider for institutional and private owners. The firm today maintains a diversified, retail-focused portfolio of 110 properties totaling almost 15.5 million square feet in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states, offering leasing, property management, financial management and reporting, construction management and development, lease administration, marketing services, and acquisition and disposition consulting services. LMC’s capabilities continue to evolve with new technologies, efficiencies and sustainability-focused initiatives to serve a new generation of properties, investors and tenants.
