Levin Management Arranges Local Brand’s First Brick-and-Mortar Lease
Boutique pet supply shop MK Traders has leased 1,100 square feet at Centre Plaza. With an existing, successful online presence, the company will establish its first brick-and-mortar location at the Bensalem shopping center, according to local resident and business owner Muzamil Khalid.
Commercial real estate services firm Levin Management Corporation (LMC) serves as exclusive leasing and managing agent for the 44,000-square-foot shopping center located on Galloway Road; Leasing Representative Fred Younkin arranged the MK Traders transaction.
MK Traders will sell pet food, toys and accessories, and over-the-counter pet medication, among other items, at its Centre Plaza shop. “I have been a Bensalem resident for five years and am excited to bring MK Traders to Centre Plaza,” said Khalid. “The center is accessible and well maintained, which was attractive to me as a business owner. We love helping people and their pets. This new shop will allow me to serve my existing clientele while introducing MK Traders’ products to new customers in the community.”
Pet supplies represents a new retail category for Centre Plaza, making MK Traders a welcome addition to the property’s in-place tenant mix, said Younkin. The commitment extends a period of sustained leasing activity at the property. Ryan Wagner's Martial Arts & Fitness, Middle Eastern restaurant Great Indian Kitchen and Bensalem Nutrition all joined the tenant roster in recent months. These transactions followed the opening of Slim’s Irish Pub earlier this year.
“At Levin Management, we maintain relationships with prominent national and regional chains, and also work successfully with local and independent retailers as well as first- time business owners looking to establish a brick-and-mortar presence,” Younkin said. “As such, we are able to advise operators like Muzamil on opportunities that meet their needs within our portfolio.”
Located in Bucks County’s largest municipality, Centre Plaza also includes Penn Community Bank, A&S Bagels, Salon 724, M. Rani Eyebrow Threading & Spa, Team Sports Zone, Kathy’s School of Dance, Tako Japanese Restaurant, El Limon Mexican Taqueria and LabCorp, among others. The property serves a Bensalem population of about 63,000 people.
