Locally Owned Paint Store Commits to 6,000 SF at Levin-Managed Property
Meldrim's Paint Center is coming to River Plaza shopping center in Johnson City, N.Y., in an expansion move for the century-old regional retailer. Located at 786 Main Street, just off the Southern Tier Expressway, the 47,000- square-foot center is managed by Levin Management Corporation (LMC).
Scott Burdett of Flaum Management Company Inc., who represents LMC locally, arranged the 6,000-square-foot lease on behalf of property ownership. Savannah Mallery of Warren Real Estate represented the tenant.
Regarded for its customer service, knowledge and experienced team, Meldrim’s Paint Center has been serving professionals and homeowners since 1927. The River Plaza store will be the company’s third, joining locations in Cortland and Ithaca, N.Y. The ownership also operates Urbanik’s Paint in Utica, N.Y.
“The Meldrim’s Paint Center at River Plaza will be a fully modernized, brand-new store with a beautiful layout,” said Kaitlyn Head, director of operations. “We look forward to serving the Johnson City Community with our signature customer service and variety of paint, stains, supplies and window treatments.”
As an established, locally owned business – with a loyal clientele – Meldrim’s Paint Center is a great fit for the shopping center, noted Burdett. “We are excited to bring this quality tenant to River Plaza,” he said. “We are confident Meldrim’s Paint Center will be a wonderful resource for both regional contractors and DIY consumers embarking on home improvement projects.”
River Plaza’s tenant mix also includes Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, A&A Beauty Supplies and shadow anchor Home Depot. With proximity to Binghamton University and UHS Medical Center, River Plaza serves a residential population of more than 121,000 people within a 5-mile radius and a daytime population of 63,000 within those same five miles.
