Transactional Activity Totals Nearly 20,000 SF at Levin-Managed Property
A renovation by grocery anchor Tops Friendly Markets and three new tenant commitments totaling nearly 20,000 square feet at Liberty Center in Erie extend a period of steady activity at the 230,000-square-foot shopping center.
North Plainfield, N.J.-based Levin Management Corporation (LMC) serves as managing agent for Liberty Center, located at the intersection of Liberty and W. 38th Streets, just west of Peach Street. Sherry Bauer, broker/owner of SBRE - Sherry Bauer Real Estate Services, arranged the latest transactions as LMC’s local representative.
The latest leases include:
- Erie Gymnastics Center (12,000 SF) is relocating one of its two local training facilities to Liberty Center. Its state-of-the-art facilities have grown to become among the largest gymnastics and acro training centers in the Erie area.
- New/used community bookstore Werner Books – a long-time Liberty Center tenant under new ownership following the prior owner’s retirement – is relocating and expanding at the property from 2,500 square feet to 5,800 square feet. The larger space will accommodate the shop’s business growth, and will include a full-service coffee/pastry shop and outdoor courtyard seating.
- F&F Hibachi Express (1,600 SF) is now open for dining in, local delivery or take out. The fast-casual restaurant serves authentic hibachi- and teriyaki-style menu items along with bowls, salads and bubble tea. It represents a new business venture from the same experienced operator behind local favorite F&F Poke Bowl restaurants.
“Great things are happening at Liberty Center,” said Bauer. “Erie Gymnastics Center and F&F Hibachi Express are wonderful additions to the tenant mix that will attract even more customers to the center. Werner Books has been a long-time presence at the property. We are glad to establish a relationship with the store’s new ownership and are pleased this community staple has solidified its commitment to Liberty Center.”
