Fast-Casual Concept Inks 2,400-SF Lease at Levin-Managed Center
Snap Back by Hook & Reel – a fast-casual version of popular seafood concept Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood and Bar – is now open at Springfield Avenue Marketplace in Newark. The franchise occupies 2,400 square feet at the 108,000-square-foot, grocery-anchored neighborhood shopping destination, according to Levin Management Corporation (LMC), the property’s exclusive leasing and managing agent.
LMC Senior Leasing Representative E.J. Moawad negotiated the long-term lease on behalf of the retail center; William Lenaz of Jeffery Realty represented the tenant. The lease signing brought Springfield Avenue Marketplace to 100% occupancy.
Snap Back by Hook & Reel is a new, smaller-scale iteration of the full-service Hook & Reel restaurant. These locations are focused on providing patrons with a convenient, quick-service dining experience, along with takeout and delivery, according to Moawad.
“With its seafood boil-based menu that allows guests to customize their meal as well as offering up po’ boys and wings, Snap Back by Hook & Reel is a great fit for Springfield Avenue Marketplace, and we are thrilled to welcome them to the property,” he said. “This concept will be a significant traffic generator and contribute to Springfield Avenue Marketplace’s overall appeal, enhancing the variety of restaurant choices for shoppers and the entire community.” The property’s dining options also include Popeyes, Taco Bell, McDonalds, Sarku Japan and a pizzeria.
Located at 204-234 Springfield Ave. in Newark’s desirable University Heights neighborhood, proximate to the City’s institutes of higher education, Springfield Avenue Marketplace serves a dense consumer base of about 414,000 people within a three-mile radius. Anchored by a high-volume, 67,000-square-foot ShopRite, its well-rounded tenant mix also includes Snipes/Kicks USA, Ashley Stewart, H&R Block, T-Mobile, Metro PCS, CityLife Medical Clinic and UBreakiFix, among others.
